Group of terrorists killed Hon’ble Member of Parliament Mr. Ahsanullah Master, two times elected MP from Gazipur 2 constituency. 144 declared in the area.

Mr.Ahsanullah Master was killed in a brush fire on Friday , 7th May 2004. Innalillah Hi Wa Inna Ilaihe Raziun. He was 54.

Late Mr. Ahsanullah Master was the convenor of Jatiyo Sramik League central committee.

A group of terrorists entered the meeting venue of the Awami Shechha Shebok League, a front organization of the main opposition, and opened fire shortly after the late MP completed his speech as the chief guest. He received atleast 30 rounds of bullet wounds on his chest, back and shoulder.

He was taken to Tongi hospital, then later shifted to CMH where the doctors declared him dead around 3:10pm. Workers from mills and factories of the industrial state, Tongi-Gazipur, burst into anger hearing the news of the assasination of their leader. They pelted stones and brick bats on different government offices and party offices of the ruling BNP.

Meanwhile the government has deployed BDR and special armed policemen and declared 144 to bring the situation under control.

President Prof. Iajuddin Ahmed, Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia condoled the death of AL MP and labour leader Ahsanullah Master. Awami League leaders also condoled the death. They prayed for salvation of the departed soul and expressed their sympathy with the bereaved family.

A vateran freedom fighter, Ahsanullah Master, MP, was known as a courageous political leader, with legacy of fighting anti-autocracy movement of the 1980’s, and Awami League backed anti government protests of recent times.

As a brave leader, Ahsanullah Master was always visible in street
agitations, while many of his senior colleagues often remained inactive.

Ahsanullah Master, MP, was one of the oldest trade union leaders of Bangladesh, who enjoyed wide spread support from the labor groups all around the country.

The Bangladesh Journal family urges readers to pray for the departed soul of Ahsanullah Master, MP, so that he can be honored with Jannat.

We also demand immediate arrest of assailants and armed hooligans responsible for the assassination of Honorable MP Ahsanullah Master
