WITH ALL THAT, ARE NOT KHALEDA AND TAREQ ANTI STATE ELEMENTS?
Uterine brothers- Tareq Rahman Khoka and Arafat Rahman Koko are the disgraced and hated children of Ziaur Rahman, an anti state traitor proven by a High Court judgment in the Masdar Hossain case by declaring the 5th and 7th Amendment of the constitution null and void and self-imposed war heroine Khaleda Khanom (later Khaleda Zia).
They are reproached in history due to the complaints against their misuse of power, corruption, murder, killings, money laundering etc. during the rule of Prime Minister-ship of their mother Khaleda from 2001-2006.
Under the umbrella of indulgence by Khaleda they gradually got encouraged to involve into doing those evil deeds. They created an alternative government through Hawa Bhaban and ran a parallel hierarchy administration in Bangladesh.
Hawa Bhaban was used by the son of the then Prime Minister, Tareq Rahman as a torture cell and a centre point of making plots to kill opposition leaders-workers and also a business home of extortion, recruitment, transfer and promotion in government jobs, tender business in all development works, commission business, money laundering, trading of beautiful women with attractive youth.
These activities even defeat the oppression by Changis Khan and Halaku Khan. Moreover, all fundamentalism and militancy of the country were reared through this Bhaban. Khaleda Zia, the then Prime Minister BNP Chairperson was successful in substantiating herself to the country as an anti liberation person by appointing anti liberation Jamaat leaders Matiur Rahman Nizami and Ali Ahsan Mohammad Mujahid as the members of her cabinet.
Meantime Koko has been awarded 6 years imprisonment with monetary fine in the case against him for being found guilty of money laundering of 20 crores of Taka to Singapore. Koko is now absconding the arrest. It has been learnt that a red alert against him through the Interpol has been served.
It is a matter of hope that the case filing authority, Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) has been able to take return of the laundered money remained frozen in a bank in Singapore. There are multifarious cases against Tareq, Koko and their mother including corruption, money laundering and embezzlement of money, abuse of power and many murders and killings.
In the Zia Charitable Trust case and Zia Orphanage case trial is being held. Tareq Zia has been accused of killing many persons in the terrific and hellish grenade attack on the Awami League convened meeting at Bangabandhu Avenue in front of its office on 21 August, 2004.
The grenade attack trial is in progress. In the grenade murder case Tareq Rahman has been charged as the key plotter accused. In the said grenade attack the wife of ex-President Zillur Rahman along with 23 others were killed and about four hundred leaders-workers had to embrace physical disabilities of various degrees.
During the Emergency Rule of 01/11/2007 the government of Moinuddin-Fakruddin, a large number of cases were instituted. At a stage on the plea of illness two brothers got release on condition for improved treatment abroad and thus took refuge in foreign lands.
Tareq and Koko are escaping arrest and absconding for the last 7 years. Due to the filing of multi faceted suits against them they do not have such a moral and mental courage that they can face the trial coming over to Bangladesh.
These two brothers are fugitive accused now. They are staying in foreign lands with family and lead a luxurious life there. They are spending huge amount of dollars every month. But saying goes that both of them are the inheritors of torn ganjee and broken suitcase.
There are allegations that Tareq Rahman leads militancy and fundamentalism in Bangladesh residing in foreign land. He is leading few thousand armed militants in home and abroad to overthrow the government illegally.
In a cross country money laundering case filed by Anti Corruption Commission the court awarded Arafat Rahman Koko a jail of six years with rigorous imprisonment and a fine of 19 crores of taka. In the Zia Orphanage and Charitable Trust case the trial of Begum Zia and her son Tareq has started .
By now the charge sheet against them has been submitted. The deposition of the witnesess was scheduled to be started from 21st April. But it could not be initiated due to a time prayer from the lawer of Khaleda Zia.
The judge granted the prayer and shifted the deposition date to start from 21st May, 2014. 26 criminal cases have been instituted against Zia Family in different courts throughout the country . Out of these cases 17 are against Tareq and 7 are against Koko.
Citizenship of anti liberation figure of jamaat leader along with other anti liberation collaborators was stripped of by Bangabondhu in 1972. Whereas the government of Begum Zia issued Gollam Azam Bangladeshi Visa against Pakistani Passport and allowed him to reside in Bangladesh for an indefinite period. Ultimately Golam Azam got back his citizenship of Bangladesh from the government of Begum Zia.
I want to say firmly that the key leadership of BNP is the patron of militancy in Bangladesh. By not moving along the democratic paths they are planning to overthrow the democratic government unlawfully through terrorism, lawlessness, fire burning and sabotage of different kinds.
These kinds of actions result into damage and destruction of properties of government and non-government ownership and mass killing of citizens of the country. Basically they are not democratic force.
They do not believe in democracy. They are carrying out heinous activities of religious fundamentalism and militancy to turn Bangladesh into a Taliban state like that of Afghanistan.
The whole world has observed in wonder of their barbarous acts along with their associate organization of Jamaat-Shibir during the pre and post time of National Election date on 5th January, 2014.
Recommendation has been finalized to ban Jamaat for good on the accusation of its role in 1971 in committing crimes against humanity including genocide. The Team Officer Motiur Rahman of Enquiry Committee for Crime Against Humanity after investigation of 7 months handed over documentary evidences of 9557 pages along with a report of 337 pages to Golam Arif Tipu, the Chief Prosecutor for the prosecution of International War Crimes Tribunal.
The prosecution started investigation on 18th August last of the crimes committed by Jamaat-E-Islami. The inquiry report was submitted on 27th March, 2014. The Enquiry Team informs that charges have been brought against Jamaat-E-Islami as per seven clauses of International War Crimes Tribunal Act 1973.
It includes inter alia, war crimes, genocide, crime against humanity, breaking of Geneva Convention, crimes under laws and crime for allegation and intrigue for committing such crimes. Side by side Jamaat, its student wing Islami Chatra Shangha, Shanti Committee (liaison), Rajakar, Al-Badr and Al-Shams (operation) and Jamaat’s representative newspaper ‘The Daily Sangram (propaganda) have been accused against.
It has been stated in the report that the policies, policy makers, organizers, directors and leaders-workers at various levels of these organizations are responsible for committing all these crimes.
That is why this investigation report is being submitted for their trial. The Enquiry authority has requested the prosecution to confiscate all the properties of Jamaat. Once the organization is banned their all wealth may be foreclosed. In the proposed forfeiture list of Jamaat’s properties there are 109 enterprises.
After the establishment of Jamaat in 1941 under the leadership of Sayed Abul Ala Moududi, Jamaat-E-Islam Party was banned thrice. Out of these actions, Jamaat was proscribed in 1959 and 1964 in the then Pakistan and in independent Bangladesh it was outlawed along with other religion based political parties in 1972 after the setting up/enforcement of secular constitution in the state.
Afterwards during the rule of late President Ziaur Rahman on May 25, 1979 Jamaat got the chance of doing politics in broad daylight in independent Bangladesh. At this stage Islami Chatra Shangha changed their name and came out in public with the name of Islami Chatra Shibir. The existence of Shanti Committee, Rajakar, Al-Badr and Al-Shams got obliterated with the independence of Bangladesh. Their representative Newspaper the Daily Sangram still survives.
In independent Bangladesh there has been a historical similarity, identical unison and collusion of the origin of BNP and Jamaat. The anti liberation party Muslim League, Jamaat and the then Deputy Chief of the Army Staff Ziaur Rahman along with inland and foreign defeated forces were involved in the tragic incidents of 15th August, 1975 wherein father of the nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman with his family members were cruelly killed and on the 3rd August four national leaders in the Dhaka Central Jail were brutally murdered.
In our liberation war the role of Ziaur Rahman also was controversial. On an analysis of the conditions in pre 75 and post 75 periods, it can be seen that Zia was virtually an anti-state element.
Afterwards, Zia at first became Chief Martial Law Administrator and then selected himself as the President through coup de tat and killings with the collaboration and instigation of Muslim League and Jamaat.
Established on 1st September 1978 Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) is the illegal child of Muslim League-Jamaat. Basically, BNP named political party in practice is the new edition of Muslim League and Jamaat.
Many a one was in different important positions of this party including anti liberation persons like Shah Azizur Rahman, Abdul Alim, Mowlana A.K.M. Yusuf, Salahuddin Quader Chowdhury.
The then peking follower party NAP (Pek.) leaders who were against liberation war including Mashiur Rahman Jadu Mia, Mannan Bhuyian and Muslim League leader Nanna Mia’s son Kamal Ibn Yusuf- all of these two faced ones turned into the steer-men of BNP of Zia. Historically Zia is a murderer. Against Zia there occurred 18 coups in the Army.
In the name of suppressing coup he killed thousands of innocent army officers and jawans in cold blood. In his subordinate parliament Zia under the leadership of Shah Azizur Rahman enacted indemnity ordinance as bill. The key substantiated issue of the bill is- no trial can be held for the murders of 15th August and 3rd November, 1975. The 5th and 7th Amendment Bill was assented by President Ziaur Rahman.
Fundamentally infamous killer Ziaur Rahman initiated and rooted fundamentalism and militancy in the body-politic of Bangladesh.
I believe that if the researchers in home and abroad conduct an impartial research on the stained active life of Zia, it would reveal the truth that Zia would approach to be a successful friend of Hitler in his annihilation of human beings in the world.
I request fervently to the inland and international research organizations/institutions and to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and her pro-liberation government to think over the matter deeply. Very recently, Zia’s son Tareq Rahman is going on with the staging of the drama with incredible video message off and on to attract the attention of the countryman from London where he is absconding.
Before 5th January, 2014 National Election he made a clarion call through video message to the people of Bangladesh for restraining and deterring the said election. As a result few hundred people were killed by petrol bombs, damage and destruction of BNP, Jamaat and Shibir. Those terrorists burned more than 150 Election Centre’s. The country suffered an economic loss of Taka one lac crore.
With the destructive call of Tareq his leader mother Khaleda Zia subscribed unity and she declared a long march to Dhaka on 29th December, 2013. Through this gathering she contemplated to dislodge a legal government through illegal means. Facing hundreds of impediments and hurdles Sheikh Hasina’s government conducted the 10th Parliament Election of 5th January successfully although voter turn-out was less than expected.
Awami League along with Great Alliance Parties bagged more than two-third majority seats in the parliament and started its journey of new government on 12th January, 2014. The 10th parliament started on 29th January, 2014.
Totally a fugitive accused person, a senior vice- president of BNP Tareq Rahman invented a new theory which was flashed in a press conference in London wherein he remarked that his father Ziaur Rahman was the first President of Bangladesh and the proclaimer of independence. His childish perverted remark was published in the daily Inquilab on 27, 2014. The quotation was, “Zia is the first President of Bangladesh- Tareq Rahman.”
On the 25th March, 2014 Tareq told this in a meeting convened by the U.K. BNP at the Regency Auditorium in East London. BNP Senior Vice Chairman Tareq Rahman said, behind the pushing Sheikh Mujibur Rahman into controversial state, no other party rather Awami League itself is responsible. His party leaders and party have lowered him.
He said Sheikh Mujibur Rahman throughout his whole life fought for democracy and people of Bangladesh. We regard and honor him for this reason. That does not mean that they would speak lies about our leader and dishonor him and provide the nation untruth about history.
Whether Sheikh Mujib declared independence or not, has not been questioned by BNP. This question has been raised by Awami League. Lowering him to the level of controversy was done unilaterally by Awami League itself and none else. Claiming Ziaur Rahman as the first President of Bangladesh Tareq Rahman said that the people of Bangladesh are now at a time for knowing right history.
In the meeting Tareq Rahman said, now-a-days we hear to have said by somebody that Sheikh Mujib supposedly gave declaration of independence on 7th March. This is not a matter for controversy; it is an issue for proof and a historical subject.
There is no strong evidence that he declared independence rather there are sufficient reasonable proofs that he did not give declaration of independence. In this context, he mentioned about his own opinion and of Manik Mia, Editor, the daily Ittefaq.
On 27th March last the mother of Tareq Rahman Khaleda Zia delivered an identical brief speech in a same tone and words. This is proved from his wordings published in the daily newspaper of 28th March. In the 28th March issue of daily Inquilab Khaleda Zia is quoted to have said, Ziaur Rahman is the first President of Bangladesh. Khaleda Zia said, the founder of BNP Shahid (Martyred) President Ziaur Rahman solely is the first President and proclaimer of independence.
In 1971 when nobody was telling anything, Ziaur Rahman only proclaimed independence. The war of liberation took place as because Ziaur Rahman declared independence. That is why he is the first President of Bangladesh.
Sheikh Mujib, Illegal Prime Minister in 1972 Yet another invention by Tareq: Another creative conjecture has been demonstrated by BNP Senior Vice Chairman Tareq Rahman. He claimed that Sheikh Mujib became illegal Prime Minister. Before only two weeks back Tareq made a dramatic remark that his father Ziaur Rahman was the first President of Bangladesh.
In a meeting organized by U.K. chapter of BNP at Westminister Hall in London recently, he quoted the declaration of independence and said that Sheikh Mujib was to be the President and not Prime Minister of Bangladesh until a new constitution was adopted.
So he disregarded the declaration of independence issued on 10th April, 1971. He questioned how Sheikh Mujib took oath as Prime Minister before the forming of a constitution? He said Sheikh Mujib’s daughter Sheikh Hasina like that of her father also is holding the chair of Prime Minister of Bangladesh as her father became so illegally and forcibly.
Late last month Tareq claimed that his father was the first President of Bangladesh. Two days later on 27th March his mother Khaleda supported the stand of her son which drew widespread criticism from all quarters including intelligentsia, historians and various media.
Referring to an interview of Dr. Kamal Hossain, the Gono forum Chief published in a weekly on October 28, 2010 Tareq said that Dr. Kamal and Sheikh Mujib returned to Dhaka with Pakistani passports instead of using UN travel documents. So as a Pakistani citizen he came to Dhaka and assumed the power of Prime Minister of independent Bangladesh.
In his speech Tareq cited and quoted different books and opinions of Awami League leaders including A.M.A. Muhit, present Finance Minister, K.M. Shafiullah exC-in-C and an Indian army officer that his father was the first proclaimer of independence. Tareq also criticized Awami League for the rehabilitation of Razakars including a Minister like Nurul Islam. Tareq Zia said in the meeting, “Sheikh Mujib never declared independence of Bangladesh. I repeat Sheikh Mujib never thought declaring the independence of Bangladesh.” Tareq claimed that Sheikh Mujib wanted autonomy and not independence of Bangladesh. He showed a video clip of an interview of Bangabandhu with a foreign News Agency to conform his claim.
Meantime, the Law Minister Advocate Anisul Haq of Bangladesh Government suggested that the brain of BNP Senior Vice Chairman, Tareq Rahman should be examined. He was replying to questions of the newsmen after a meeting in the Secretariat with Task Force for returning the absconding accused from foreign lands. He said that after 42 years of independence such a remark by Tareq Rahman makes me advise nothing more than that on the remark by Tareq of saying Bangabandhu as illegal Prime Minister. Health Minister, Mohammad Nasim has termed Tareq Zia as a foolish person. He said that against these elements there is nothing to remark about them.
We fervently appeal to the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to take drastic actions against the anti-state elements by taking back persons like Tareq Rahman. This time Tareq should not go unpunished. A fugitive in foreign country, there are several criminal cases against him including 21st August grenade attack.
The present government should have serious diplomatic endeavor to bring back Tareq and put him under trial as an accused anti-state criminal. If necessary, the government should take help of Interpol for return of this fugitive to Bangladesh and make his face trial of the cases against him.
Claims and remarks of Tareq Rahman and that of Khaleda Zia are the expression of childish utterances which are unlawful and outside etiquette. This kind of sayings is fully anti-state. Deliverance of the speech on the 7th of March 1971 by Bangabandhu is our proclamation of independence and of liberation war.
The declaration that was given on 26th March by Bangabandhu was the supplementary proclamation of independence. Incidentally if Bangabandhu could not be able to have given this declaration, even then it is to be presumed that the speech of 7th March by Bangabandhu would have to be treated as the declaration of the war of liberation and final proclamation of independence.
The fundamental, democratic and political right of declaring independence and war of liberation were with the father of the nation Bangabandhu only and none else. He and his party Bangladesh Awami League bagged 167 parliament seats out of 169 seats in the then East Pakistan. East Pakistan shared 169 seats in parliament out of 300 seats in the parliament as per population ratio.
Due to the dilly dally tactics of intrigues by Martial Law ruler of Pakistan Yahia Khan and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader Julfiqar Ali Bhutto, the great hero of history, the eyeball of the Bangalees, Bangabandhu gave the final declaration of independence in his speech on the 7th March, 1971.
I believe that the historians and observers of home and abroad would have said that in his speech on 7th March Bangabandhu gave declaration of independence and of the war of liberation wherein he outlined the directives to the seven and half crores of people of the country.
The countryman would not listen to the absurd and silly speeches of half naked, uneducated person like Tareq Rahman and his mother Khaleda Zia who are patrons of militancy and are opposed to democracy, independence and war of liberation. It is because of the fact that the country, the nation, general people, intelligentsia, laboring and working people are more consolidated in terms of morality, mentality and character than those of two persons.
Not to speak of Ziaur Rahman even his father also had not the right to declare the independence of Bangladesh. If anytime Bangladesh by chance disappears Sheikh Mujib would not vanish. It is because he is the father of the nation. Sheikh Mujib was the elected leader of a population of 7 and a half crore people. Outside his command none had the authority to make any directive or instruction on war of liberation and independence. Seven and a half crore people were the announcer of the declaration of independence.
The present pro-independence and pro-liberation war government and as representative of freedom and liberation war and as the Prime Minister of this government, you Sheikh Hasina daughter of the father of the nation Bangabandhu have to get tough decision about Jamaat and its close associate militant BNP on the question of imposing ban in practicing politics in the country.
The demand of time is the proscription of BNP simultaneously with Jamaat. In no way we can let the countryman go astray by them. If only Jamaat is outlawed, they would combinedly carry out militant activities with BNP. Their joint power would lead the country to the door of Taliban state.
Democratic, fundamental and humane constitutional rights of all the people of Bangladesh have to be ensured. All progressive forces and religion based Medina Sanad (Medina Charter) ideal followers are to be made united.
Your Excellency Prime Minister has repeatedly told that you would run the country as per clauses of Medina Charter. You are to keep in mind that about 90 percent of people in Bangladesh are Muslims. Their religious ideal is Islam and the holy Quran. You have also said that you never passed any anti Quranic law and will never do that in future.
Like that of the father of the nation, you expressed that you would never bow down your head to anyone except Allah. As you have submitted your head down to Allah, please come forward with your pledge to materialize the application of Medina Charter and the last sermon (Bidaye Hajj) of Hazrat Mohammad (peace be upon him). Please do not bow down your head to anybody except Allah. May Allah bless you. Please oust anybody if there is anyone in your party who is anti Allah. We fervently hope that you would not bend your head and be not defeated to BNP and Jamaat.
Finally my earnest request to those of you who would practise politics in Bangladesh that you shall put the name of the father of the nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman compulsorily following the name of Allah in your party constitution and his honor shall be fully preserved. Except that no political party would get the right to form a party legally and would not get constitutional right to carry-out political activities in Bangladesh. Even no person or organization would make any bitter reproaches on Bangabandhu.
A new law should be enacted to this effect and should be passed in a Bill form in the parliament as quickly as possible.
